Happy New Year

Today, Yi Si 乙巳, is the last day of the year in Gregorian calendar. As the clock tick past 12 p.m., we will begin the year of 2009. I would like to take this opportunity to wish you a HAPPY NEW YEAR and all the best in 2009.

It has been satisfying year for me although things did not turn out as expected. Somehow it is a blessing in disguise which I am grateful and happy. I have started this blog hoping to get more people to be interested in the Art of Bazi, the Four Pillar of Destiny. These particular festive and holiday seasons that see my posts dwindling as I am very much in holiday mood. I will try to post more articles in my blog in the coming months. Hope you will find enjoyable and informative.

At the same time, I am working on my website on Chinese Metaphysics. The website will make it easier for people to find information on consultation services. I do hope that I am able to launch it soon.

Today is an excellent day with present of the Year Prosperity Star. Dong Gong Method of date selection site today as an excellent day. There are presences of auspicious stars like the Yellow Spiral 黄羅, Purple Sandalwood 紫檀, Heavenly Emperor 天皇 and Earthly Emperor 地皇 which herald good fortune in activities like burial, positioning a door, groundbreaking, marriage, moving into a new house, travel or opening for business.

According to the Twelve Officer Method of date selection, today is an initiate day. Therefore it is an excellent day to start or commence something like accepting an assignment, starting a new project as well as opening a business.

In addition the Si Snake is the Year Prosperity Star for Wu Earth Annual Heavenly Stem for 2008. It is especially auspicious day for 辛 Xin Metal day master person as the personal Heavenly Wealth Star is present at the stem with the Yearly Prosperity Star at the branch.

It would be a great day to start your New Year resolution for 2009 on today. Those who lack the good fortune in the year of Ox which begin in 4 February 2008, may want to take this opportunity to start rolling their projects or begin working on their resolutions to ensure the activities has a good start a head with a good footing.

While we close the chapter of 2008 with such an excellent day, how would it be in the beginning of 2009? The Chinese will always choose a good date to resume work after the Chinese New Year. How about the Gregorian New Year? Some of us will start work on the 2 January 2009 while those who take a longer leave will start work on the 5 January 2009.

According to Dong Gong Method of date selection, 2 February 2008, Ding Wei 丁未, is a very auspicious day suitable for all activities. However, the Twelve Officer Method of date selection sites it as a danger day where the day presence of danger stars, cause much uncertainty. Well where there is danger, opportunities are abound. For those who born in the year of Ox, you have to be extra careful as the Chou Ox clashes with the Wei Goat.

For those who start work on 5 January 2008, Geng Xu 庚戌, it is a Receive Day in the Twelve Officer Method of date selection. Dong Gong Method of date selection site this day only as fair with the presence of Heavenly and Monthly Virtue Stars. It is a day whereby you have to work hard and overcome obstacles to reap the returns. There may be minor good news. For those who born in the year of Chen Dragon, you have to work hard and overcome obstacles. This is especially true to the Chen Dragon clashes with Xu Dog.

2009 The Earth Ox (2009 己丑 Ji Chou)

I have noticed a lot of people searching for Astrology Outlook for the Ox year. The Year Pillar for 2009 is that of Earth Ox, Ji Chou. The Na Yin for the year is fire from thunder. From the sound of Na Yin, a hot and dryer weather is installs. Natural disasters like bushfire, volcano eruption and earthquake are also possible to happen.

If we look at the Year Pillar alone, the pictorial image will be of a cold and unproductive land.

Let takes a look at the Bazi Chart for Ox Year on 4 February 2009. The chart would look as follow:

The Day Stem reveals the Geng Metal, will be the prominent issue in Ox year. Geng Metal represents the West and also the banking and financial industries. It is rooted only in Chou Ox which means this Geng Metal itself is weak. In addition, it is flanked by two Bing Fires (Hour & Month Stems). In the controlling cycles, the Geng Metal is being controlled by Fire element. This tells us that the financial crisis that we face this year will continue to be the main issue for 2009. The US economy deteriorates further from the current mortgage and financial crisis. It will continue to be bugged down by the property issues.

The Ji Chou Year Pillar contains pure qi of Ji Earth. Although the property markets are bug down by the economy down turn, the Ji Chou year also presents great opportunities for those who can afford. The Ji Chou year provides opportunities to own a cheaper fixed assets and properties. Therefore, those who involved in buying and selling properties may see fair bit of activities in the year 2009 albeit at lower values.

However, this case may not be applicable to the construction sector. The construction industry involved two element that are wood and earth. In order for the wood to be useful for construction, it must be chopped by the Geng Metal. The Geng Metal is weak while the wood represent by the Yin Tiger is in abundance. Therefore, the construction industry is likely to face resource problems and high case of default in 2009. Those who wish to buy property on a construction basis may want to make sure that the company is on sound footing.

The Fire industry (Bing Fire) especially the stock markets will also face high competition and low demand. In the above chart, the two suns (Bing Fire) are competing for the control of the limited incomes, Geng Metal. At this point of writing, many of the analysts (water element) have been axed by the global research houses in view of a bearish market in 2009.

The present of two suns also spell problem for agriculture and plantation industry. It is likely a dry season for next year especially in the summer. Drought may be one of the problems that are going to face by the agriculture industry. It may lead to shortage of food and price hike. While at the same time the opposite may hold true as the Chen Dragon- Zi Rat combo that form water may cause floods which will cause difficulty to cultivate land for agriculture activities in the winter season. Thus, again there will be shortage of foods and result in price hike.

General Trend For 2009: The economy will slide down to a point of stagnation in later part of 2009. Fiscal and monetary policy that are undertaken to stimulate the economy will be slow to show result. Things will only start to pick up in the year of 2010 and turn better 2011. Expect the Earth Ox year to be slow, stagnant and unproductive.

Disaster strike at home

At the wee hour of 3.30 a.m., Wu Zi strikes again. This morning when I read The Star, the headline spelled Buried Alive – another landslide tragedy and a message from my classmate and friend, Chris Chan, prompted me to note down this event. I also noticed he has put up a similar article. Better still he has chart out the Highland Tower tragedy in year 1993 as well. You can drop by his blog to have more info and different view.

What does the chart on 6 December 2008 revealed?

1. 
   
   The Zi Rat and Hai Pig was half winter combo. The Zi Rat and Chen Dragon was also half combo that formed water. This indicates a very strong water element. When water is too strong the Wu Earth is not able to barricade or control the water. Again combo, clash and destruction mean movement. The land and soil from high hills (two Wu Earth on the Hour and Year Stems) were being flushed away by water a.k.a. landslide.

   The landslide was also trigger off by the heavy rain fall indicated by the Gui Water (Month Stem) with the continuously supply from Geng Metal (Day Stem).
3. 
   
   The Gui Water (Month Stem) and Wu Earth (Year Stem) also formed a merciless combination. This indicated the situation will be bad. Why do I say that? There are not many disasters in our country, Malaysia. We are pretty safe from most of the natural disaster so far. However, this was more to a man-made disaster than a natural one. The housing developer mercilessly cut down trees regardless of its environmental impact. Thus, the nature reciprocates to what we have done.

   The Hai Pig-Yin Tiger was also a combine-destruction formation. As I was writing this, the disaster already claimed 4 persons live and left many homeless.
5. 
   
   The Geng Metal (Day Stem) and Wu Earth (Hour & Year Stems and Chen Dragon on Day Branch) were 7 Killing and Wealth Stars respectively to the Yin Tiger. This point out that most of the victims were rich or with reasonable wealth, position and power. If you read the newspaper, most of them were professionals and businessmen. Datuk Thajuddeen Abdul Wahab, the principal private secretary to Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, was also one of the victims. Datuk Siti Nurhaliza is also living nearby and her cousin's house was crumble by the landslide.

Many things have happened this year. In the early part of the year, everything seems to be rosy has now turns bad.

I still remember the picture shown in Joey Yap's Good to Great in 2008 Seminar on 27 January 2008 that described the Wu Zi year. Although I can't produce the exact picture of that day, I have found something similar here to show you.

The Wu Zi year is filled with many unexpected and unpredicted events and scandalous surprises. Things that you thought will happen turn out otherwise. Bewildering, startling and out of the blue are the words that can be used to describe Wu Zi year.

So what's so "NOT CLEAR" or so "Unexpected" in the Wu Zi year?

1. 
   
   Rice shortage sent the prices soaring up to 40%. In Pakistan, the price has even gone as high as 60%. A rice exporter told The Straits Times: "In my 25 years of trading, I have never seen such a bad position." Deadly riot broke out in Haiti over the rise in rice prices. Philippines went into rice rationing for fear of global rice shortage. Shocking news in deed.
2. The stock markets around the world were at it all time high. People were riding on the euphoria of the stock markets' high and think it will go higher. The economic fundamental doesn't seem to matter. The properties in US were facing problem as early as last year. It quickly spiral into subprime mortgage crisis and financial crisis in US and other parts of Europe. As the news broke out many people are caught by surprise when the market took a dive. Somehow they are unable to see it coming. Or are they just plainly ignoring the fact?

   I also have my doubts. I was expecting the stock markets to come down soon as the stock markets activities have been overheated. However, when the market continued with its high early of the year I began to wonder would it ever come down.

   Tibetan unrest on March 2008 amidst the preparation of the Beijing Olympics. The Tibetans went into demonstration on 10 March 2008 and later on the protest became violent. The unexpected turn of events irked the Chinese Government. The Tibetan issue received wide western media coverage while the in China they try to play it down. The Chinese Government has been criticized over human right issue in Tibet as well as their way of handling the protestors. However, some of the western media reporting were misleading and cast a poor-light to the Chinese Government.

   On 2 May 2008, the Cyclone Nargis caused the worst natural disaster over Myanmar. 80,000 people were reported dead or maybe more. The Myanmar's Government simply stopped counting the dead to cover their inefficiency and to minimize political fallout. Relief efforts were also slow as the Myanmar's military rulers resisted aids initially.

   On 12 May 2008, the Great Sichuan Earthquake killed at least 69,227 people and rendered 4.8 million people homeless. China declared three days national mourning for the quake victims. The wind of change has never change faster in the media circle. From the criticism towards China Government over the Tibetan issue are now changed into praises for it efficiency and speed of sending aids to earthquake zone area. China also gained sympathies from the world from the disaster. Who would have thought that two big natural disasters will happen in such short span of time? The Cyclone Nargis and Sichuan Earthquake disasters were happened in 10 days apart.

Originally, I had my fact wrong. I thought the Indian Ocean tsunami happened in 2006 but later I found out it was in the year 2004. As I doing my research on the tsunami, I also found out that the year 2006 has a few volcano eruption as well as tsunami case in Java, Indonesia due to the earthquake on 17 July. However, the tsunami was not as deadly as the one happened in the year 2004. So I will keep this chapter short and only show you the pictorial images that I feel represented the Bing Xu year.

Looking at the Tsunami's Bazi Chart below, I feel it is easier to decipher a man-made catastrophe then a natural disaster. It warrant more studies and research to be done in the area (will do that later) J. However, I will try to explain some of the points I found may be the indication of what had taken place.

In 2004, Jia Shen, was a clash and controlling year where the Heavenly Stem, Jia Wood, was clashed as well as controlled by the Earthly Branches, Shen Monkey. The year pillar itself tells us the likelihood of natural disaster whereby the flows Qi is not smooth given the clashing element.

It was the year where an earthquake undersea that triggered series of devastating tsunamis along the coasts of most landmasses bordering the Indian Ocean. It was the second largest earthquake with a magnitude of 9.1 and 9.3 and one of the deadliest natural disasters in history. The earth quake is known by the scientific community as the Great Sumatra-Andaman earthquake. It is also known as the Asian Tsunami.

Interesting points to note:

• In the year pillar, the secondary Qi in the Shen Monkey showed the Wu Earth (i.e. India's & Maynmar's lithosphere plates) and Ren Water (i.e. ocean). If you link the two together, it illustrated an ocean lithosphere, in simple term, the seafloor.
  
• The Ji Earth (Day) and Jia Wood (Hour) on the Heavenly Stems is a combo and it formed an Earth element. Combo, clash and destruct indicate movement. This reveal to us there was an earth movement a.k.a earthquake. The year pillar told us that incident happened under the sea. It also triggered other earthquakes as far as Alaska.
  
• The real impact of the situation was on the branches. There was a half combo of Shen Monkey-Zi Rat (Shen Monkey-Zi Rat-Earth Dragon Combo) in the Year and Month Branches that formed water. There were also uncivilized punishments of Zi Rat-Mao Rabbit-Zi Rat (Month-Day-Hour Branches)
  
• The energy released by the earthquake under the Indian Ocean resulting a tsunami with waves up to 30 meters high (half combo of Shen Monkey-Zi Rat).
  
• Many were dead due to the tsunami (Zi Rat-Mao Rabbit-Zi Rat ) an indirect result from earthquake. Death toll came up to 230,000 people. Women and children account for the most compare to men (Yi Wood in the Mao Rabbit). The affected areas were in Southeast Asia and beyond, including Indonesia, Sri Lanka, India, Thailand, Maldives, Myanmar, Malaysia and others. It was very rare occurrence and it had only happened around 550 to 700 years ago as evidence of tsunami found by scientists. As such, many were unaware and thus taken by surprise by the high waves that swept inland.
  
• Besides the heavy death toll, the effects of tsunami (Zi Rat-Mao Rabbit-Zi Rat ):
  
  
  
  • Tradition & beliefs: In the affected region many tradition and beliefs that the body of the dead must be buried, in many cases, there were no body remained. Bodies were being buried in hurried for fear of disease. This caused further grief to the families and relatives.
    
  • Environmental impact: The tsunami has inflicted a serious damage to the ecosystem. It caused water pollution and poisoning of freshwater supplies. The deposit layers of salt by the seawater over the land causes the soil to become sterile. This in turn unable to support the micro-organism in the soils. Plants and vegetation died as a result of this.
  • Economic impact: The livelihood of the fishing community faced great losses due to damage of boats and fishing gears. They are some of the poorest people in the region. The farms and plantations were also damage by the seawater. Infrastructures around the coastal areas also being destroyed by the surged of waves. Countries like Maldives and Thailand's coastal area which depends on tourism also affected even though some tourist areas is not touch by the tsunami.
    
• Every cloud has a silver lining (Bing Fire on the Month Stem):
  
• After the tsunami, mass humanitarian aids were mobilized. Donation was seen pouring in from many parts of the world by the governments, charitable bodies and citizens.

• The extensive damage in Aceh, led the Acehnese separatist to declared cease-fire on 28 December 2004. This was followed by the Indonesia government. Aceh has been in armed conflicts for many years. [Two Jia Woods (Hour & Year Stems) in the chart signify fight over territorial] Both parties cited the tsunami as a justification for resuming the long-delayed peace talks and in 15 August 2005 they have signed a peace agreement which spelled the end of Aceh's internal conflict.

• The United Nation has started working on a tsunami warning system in the Indian Ocean and in 2005 the initial steps was in place. A united global tsunami warning system to be set up was also proposed.

The year 2003 was also the year that United Stated declared war over Iraq. Iraq was allegedly possessing of mass weapon of destruction. United States and it coalition allies, United Kingdom, Australia, Denmark and Poland, claimed that Iraq posed serious threat to the security of United States and Europe as well as the world peace. The reasons for the invasion were "to disarm Iraq of weapons of mass destruction (WMD), to end Saddam Hussein's support for terrorism, and to free the Iraqi people."

However, the United Nation has found no evidence of mass weapon of destruction. The United Nation Security Council did not even publicly authorised the war against Iraq. Many have protested against the war and suggested diplomatic solution instead but all this has fallen into deaf ear. The United States together with its coalitions when ahead with the war. President Bush used the 911's incident and the purported ties of Saddam Hussien with Al-Queda to promote fear and instigate d the war.

Saddam Hussein was captured on 13 December 2003 at a farm near Tikrit. At the point of his capture, he looked disorientated and disillusion [Gui Wei influenced], very different from those day when he still in power.

The war soon turned out to be a farce. No mass weapon of destruction has been found. Iraq was in chaos. There were massive civil disorder, including the looting of government buildings and increased crime to due an absence of law and order. The United States and United Nation tried to establish a stable democratic state that was capable to defend itself soon after President declare victory on 1 May 2003. However, this proved to be difficult tasked due to the increase of insurgent attacks. Although government was formed in Iraq, it still remains in unstable state up to now. [The deception of the war, the fear of terrorism that had led to the Iraqi's war, human rights abuse during the war, Iraq, the country that unable to recover from pre-war were the influenced of Gui Wei year. When the water is being contaminated it takes a lot work and time to filter for clear and clean water again]

The United Nation described that Iraq was in "civil war-like situation" in 2006. Up till now, 27 November 2008, peace in Iraq remains illusive.

Continue from Years of Turbulence (Part II)…

Gui Wei Year was a controlling year where the Ji Earth in the Wei Goat controlled the Heavenly Stem of Gui Water. Water mixed with soil become murky, unclean and muddy. It was a year that people easily infected with disease and fell sick. Epidemic easily happened. Disease was easily transmitted and spread to place as the water nature travel to every part of the world. The year 2003 was the year that SARS news broke out. The SARS epidemic also spread very fast from one infected person to another and from one country to another.

Water also represents thought, mind and wisdom. In the Gui Wei year, people were easily confuse, irrational, emotional and depress. Actions were also powered by greed or personal agenda. During this period, the China local government try to down played the situation to cover up their short coming as well as preserve their status. This caused many deaths and unreported SARS cases. In turn, it caused the SARS epidemic to spread rapidly as ignorance and no proper information were given on how take precaution. [Not a really wise thing to do]

As a result, the SARS epidemic became worst. Those living in China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore and Vietnam were in constant fear as it became clear that they were living in the danger zone. Schools were being shut down and people were advised not to leave the houses unnecessarily. Hospital, banks and many other businesses were under minimal staff operations. The tourism industry was badly affected.

It was also the year where the famous Canton Pop Star, Leslie Cheung committed suicide by jumping out from the Mandarin Oriental Hotel, after suffering for a long depression. [Thoughts are clouded, irrational emotion and depression] He died in 1 April 2003. Despite the risk of SARS infection and the WHO's warning, many of his fans from every corner of the world such as China, Taiwan, Japan, Southeast Asia, the United States and Canada, still travelled to Hong Kong to bid final farewell to their beloved icon on the public memorial service held on 7 April 2008. [It was not a rational action as the SARS was a serious threat]

At the end of the year, Anita Mui lost her battle to cervical cancer passed away on 30 December2003. Again I would say due to irrational thinking, she opted not to have an earlier treatment that might safe her life.

Continue from Years of Turbulence (Part I)…

On 11 September 2001, 19 islamist terrorists on a suicide mission hijacked four commercial passenger jet airliners. Two crashed into the Twin Tower, World Trade Centre (WTC), one crashed into Pentagon and the last into a field near Shanksville in rural Somerset County, Pennsylvania. It was believed that the target of the last plain was either United States Capitol or White House.

I specifically extracted out that day bazi charts, one at 8.46 a.m. and another at 9.37 a.m. to see in detail.

World Trade Centre’s ChartWhat does the chart says?

1. The 9/11’s chart showed two Ding Fires in the sky or on high-rise.
2. Hidden combo of Bing-Xin formed water was found in the Year and Month Branch. Water denotes travel, movement & transport.
3. What type of transport? Bing-Xin combo showed transport made of metal and powered by fire or energy. Bing Fire, the sun @ 8.46 a.m. was high in the sky. This denotes transport in the sky likes helicopter, airplane, airship etc. While Xin Metal born You Rooster month is the most common type of metal. This indicated airplane, the most common mode of transport for people to travel by air. It also reveal four airplane involved in the 9/11 incident as represented by the metal elements.
4. Chen Dragon & Chou Ox (Earth) represents the twin tower, WTC. Chen-Chou was in destruction formation. Hence, it indicated WTC was being destroyed. There was another Wu Earth hidden secondary qi in Si Snake so another building was affected.
5. Wood feeds the fire denotes sacrifices. The wood is also not rooted in the chart, therefore, there was no survival in the planes crash. Though you may see the Yi Wood in the Chen Dragon, it was not the pure qi of Jia Wood and it explained a different situation where survivors were from the building (on the ground).

• The Islamist terrorist (bunch of idiots) who sacrificed their life for the Al-Qaeda’s missions (an act of barbarian).
• The innocent people who died in the incident. Total of 2,974 people died in the attacks excluding the 19 hijackers while 24 are missing and presumed dead. Estimated death toll reach to 6,000 people weeks after the attack.
• The rescue teams (411 emergency workers, 341 firefighter, 10 paramedics and 60 police officers) who were unable to evacuate on time when the building collapse.
• Friends & families who loss their love ones.

Pentagon's Chart

This chart was the same chart of WTC except the hour was changed to 9.47 a.m. It was the time when the third and fourth planes crashed into Pentagon and a field near Shanksville respectively.

1. Although there was still two Ding Fires in the sky but only showed one building was on fire.
2. There was also no destruction formation in the chart. The third plane crashed into Pentagon, and only one portion of the Pentagon was severely damaged by the fire and a section was of the building collapse.
3. Again the wood element appeared on stem of the hour pillar. However, this time it was Yi Wood instead of Jia Wood. Although the Yi Wood still feed the fire but now it also clashed with the Xin Metal. The Ding Fire also controlled the Xin Metal. According to Wikipedia, the black box recordings of United Airlines Flight 93, revealed the crew and passengers attempted to regain control of the plane as they got to know of the similar hijacked plane that crashed into buildings. As it became evidence to the hijackers that they were losing controlled, they ordered to roll the plane and later on it crashed into a field near Shanksville in rural Somerset County, Pennsylvania.
4. The chart only showed one Earth appearing on the branch while the other two were hidden. Therefore, the last plane was crashed into the flat land. The chart also showed two Wu Earth hidden in Si Snake. The hidden earth elements showed the other two possible targets which were either the United States Capitol or White House that did not materialize.
