Waka Waka This Time For Octi

The FIFA World Cup came and gone in a short month from 11 June to 11 July 2010. At the end Spain won and everyone went home. Albeit much excitement and anticipation over the matches, not much was remembered except for complained over the poor performance of many favourite teams, Frances’ squad squabbles and hmn… what else?

Actually one person really stole the show during the World Cup. He was no other than Paul or more precisely, Paul the Squid. Oops! Did I say, “Squid”? No! No! I mean Paul the Octopus. He was clearly the biggest winner of the World Cup. 

Paul’s fame knows no end as well. During the semi-final match, Sea Life Centre beef up the security to protect him from death and dinner threats. Loving messages or not to Paul goes like…

“Spot on Paul :)”

“OCTI PAUL WAS RIGHTTTTTTT! SPAIN SPAIN SPAIN! :D”

“Paullllyyy. Pulpo Paul... I love you! Muah! Marry me!”

“Nothing beats grilled octopus,” German fan Dolores Lusch told Reuters. “Cut him up in thin slices and grill him on all sides with a dash of lemon juice, olive oil and garlic on it. Delicious!”

“Paul the Octopus is Sushi tomorrow morning!”

“That bloody octopus should be killed, cooked and eaten...!”

Paul’s caretaker, Oliver Walenciak, say the death threats have done nothing to frighten Paul. “There are always people who want to eat our octopus but he is not shy and we are here to protect him as well,” Walenciak said. “He will survive.” “Paul picked for Germany’s third-place game against Uruguay on Saturday. If the octopus knows what’s good for him, he’ll pick the Deutschland.”

Spanish PM offers state protection to Paul too while the environment minister, Elena Espinosa, said she would give Paul protection under conservation laws so that Germans do not eat him. Paul was even bestowed an honorary Spanish citizenship by the Mayor of O Carballiño, Carlos Montes. A song by Parry Gripp, “Paul the Octopus” has been a huge hit on YouTube with more than 1,400,000 hits. Paul was valued by Public Relations consultant, Max Clifford, with a worth up to $4.5 million.

On July 12, 2010, Paul is officially retired from making predictions and he is back to his former job, namely making children laugh.

Anyway, with just two Pillars for Paul’s BaZi Chart would you be able to pinpoint what makes Paul so famous during this World Cup fever till it eclipse the whole event itself? Why Paul received so much attention?

Well, considering that Octopus having a short span of life from six months for the smaller species to five years for their bigger brothers, Paul, the eight legged creatures of Sea Life Centre in Oberhausen, Germany may not be able to live long enough to see the UEFA Euro in 2012.

According to Wikipedia, he is hatched on January 2008. Paul a common octopus from Cephalopod species is considered the most intelligent invertebrates with impressive spatial learning capacity, navigational abilities, and predatory techniques. Below is his Chart.

For your information before the Day Master was being popularized and used as a reference point by Xu Zi Ping technique which is more systematic and logical, the focal point was on the Year Pillar.

Besides, Paul has only about two years to live hence the Two Pillars may be sufficient to tell his story. 

Man Best Friend

"I had broke-up with my boyfriend" says MeiLan, my friend, in casual and matter of fact manner. The question "Why?" sprang-up to my mind, though, I was not surprise because she broke-off with boyfriends so often that I loss count who is who. The last I heard, the guy seems to be a perfect fellow for husband and she was considering marriage. He was well-to-do, lived in a bungalow with decent family and good background, and without any vice character. He willingly spent on her, brought her to vacation, and took good care of her. Anyway before I could put on a sympathy look to ask her why, she already spilled-out her story.

Yeah, I am not close this MeiLan. Sorry to say I find her quite fake and irritating. *Sigh* I don't how and why I befriended her. Below is MeiLan's BaZi Chart. I don't have her hour of birth. Since I don't intend to tell her that I am posting her in my blog, I am not going to ask her, her time of birth. =P

Actually I wanted to check-out her guy's BaZi chart more than her. I think it would look more interesting than her BaZi Chart. Are you able to guess why she dumps her so perfect boyfriend? I will reveal the answer later on. I had checked with my teacher, Sherwin Ng, what to look for in the BaZi Chart, and I have included the clue into the above chart.

A brief introduction of MeiLan for your easy guessing:

As you all know she is single, and had a good record number of boyfriends by now. Not that she goes out with several guys at the same time but she did changed boyfriend frequently. She had known to be involved with married men before, and quite a spendthrift herself. Every now and then she would become a miser, and that was a clear sign that she had broken-off with someone again. Needless to say, guys also willingly spent on her.

At the moment she works as an administrator. She had worked in sales and also an insurance agent. She did quite well selling insurance but gave up her job due to emotional issue on her separation with his boyfriend at that time.

She is a dog lover but had since given away her pet due to lack of space in her home. She could spend a lot on her pet even though she was on a very tight budget. Sometimes money was so short that she had little to buy her own food.

Both MeiLan and her boyfriend, let call him Jack, actually is dog lover. However, their separation was also caused by the dog. You see, Jack iss leaving with his parents and sibling. His family, all of them is naturally dog lover as well. Her sister alone has three dogs. To sum it up, there are exactly nine dogs leaving together with Jack and his family. Nine dogs seem like a lot but you must have thought since MeiLan likes dog too, what’s the big deal? Well, all the dogs are living inside the house and not at the garden or outside. Of course, as you would have guess the house smells, although it did look clean. MeiLan had suggested giving away some of the dogs or at least keep the dogs out but the advice had fall into deaf ear. So I guess since the dogs were staying she opted herself out.

To tell you the truth, the BaZi Chart do look more like a third party problem but both MeiLan and Jack was not seeing anyone at the moment. May be a guy or a girl may come into picture later but I doubt Jack would leave MeiLan for anyone because the Yi do combine with the Geng, and was supported by the element of Luck Pillar.Reversed engineering makes analysing the BaZi Chart easier.

Analysis:

A pet is represented by the Output Star which is the Eating God in this case. This is because you need to take care of the pet like taking of a child. I had added the clue in a pictorial (doggy photo) method into the chart since the dogs are involved. Hence, the Xu Dog is brought into the picture, which is a half combination with the Yin Tiger that formed the output element and pushed out the Wu Horse. 

The BaZi chart is actually cold so Fire is needed by the Yi Wood Day Master as well as the Direct Officer Star [Geng Metal]. However, the degree of heat the Yi Wood need is different compared with the Geng Metal. It was obvious that the Geng Metal likes more of the output element. It brought warm as well as forged the Geng Metal so more heat is needed. In other words, the more the dogs are around the merrier it is to her boyfriends as well as his siblings [Other Geng which appeared on the Shen Monkey on the branch of the Luck Pillar, Year Pillar and Annual Stem]. 

While for MeiLan case, her Yi Wood only needed some warm created by the Xu Dog combination with Mao Rabbit which is supported of the Jia Wood in Yin Tiger on the annual luck cycle. Notice the Zi Rat is clashing away the Wu Horse which means she felt uncomfortable with amount dogs running around in Jack’s home and dislike the possibility that she might need to take care so many of them.

The Football Hunk, Cristiano Ronaldo

Cristiano Ronaldo, the young hunk on the block. Hahaha! No wonder all my girlfriends want to see football matches. Cristiano Ronaldo is born on 5 February 1985, time unknown.

The ideal sportsman BaZi Chart should contain the Hurting Officer controlling the Seven Killings formation. In Cristiano Ronaldo, the formation is found in a secondary Qi of Bing Fire in Yin Tiger and Xin Metal in Chou Ox. However, I would think the formation as the secondary Qi is less effective in making an excellent footballer and superstar out of Cristiano Ronaldo. Maybe the hour plays a more significant role if it is Xin Si.

Again like the Raymond Domenech's BaZi Chart, Cristiano Ronaldo is also having the Companion Structure. His is the Rob Wealth Structure. Couple with the Hai Pig and Yin Tiger combination making him a good team player as well as a leader. With so many Rob Wealth and Friend Stars in his BaZi, he is constantly working in a highly energised competitive environment. The football field provided this environment to him.

What element does the football industry fall into? The round shape of the ball tells you that it is no other than the metal element. It is the best element needed to cut through the amount of thick woods and make it useful in Cristiano Ronaldo's BaZi Chart. The metal element is also Cristiano Ronaldo's Influence Star. Hence, he gains his fame and recognition in the football field.

The year 2004, Jia Shen, he lost his dad to alcoholism. It was also the year that he goes in the Luck Pillar of Yi Hai, a Fu Yin to his Day Pillar. Something was lost forever in his life and something is gain in return. It was also at this period that became the first-ever Portuguese player to hire by Manchester United with a deal of £12.24 million. He may earn another title on top of his many Honour in the football field with the present of Direct Officer Star, Geng Metal, and the Rob Wealth Star, Yin Tiger in this World Cup FIFA 2010.

World Cup 2010: France’s Dramatic Exit

Although not a football fan myself, the World Cup FIFA 2010 event would not go unnoticed easily by myself or anyone else. Furthermore, the France's team dramatic exit from the World Cup added some interesting gossip to the sport arena.

All the bad performance and the fall out seem to pointing to the Coach, Raymond Domenech. He has been criticized for many things since he became the Coach. Firstly, it had been rumour that he consulted astrology to choose the players for the France's World Cup. He left out many of experience players in favour of new one had mystified the fans and players alike.

He was also pictured dimly by the press, Le Parisien, for his refusal to shake South Africa coach Carlos Alberto Parreira's hand at the World Cup tournament.

He neither help his image by his remarked "I come from another world to you" in his final press conference.

What happen to the France's World Cup as seen in Domenech's BaZi Chart? He is born on 24 January 1952 at an estimate time of 9:00 p.m.

If Domenech's BaZi Chart is the France's World Cup team, it proved to be as chaotic as the event which has taken placed. At the age of 58, he is in the Luck Pillar of Yi Wei. The Yi Wei Pillar is a Heaven and Earth clash to his Month Pillar whereby it represented his working environment. Furthermore the Luck Pillar Yi Wei also formed the wood element with Hai Pig and Mao Rabbit which clashes and controls into the earth element, his Friend Structure. The Hai Pig Branch represents his subordinate and co-workers, while the Mao Rabbit represents the outside world he need to deal with. This shows that he had little power over the event that had unfold although he was the coach. At the same time, his team under his coaching represented by the Si Snake, Xin Metal and Chou Ox combination clashes out to the wood formation. This was a clear sign of the team is going against the authority. His BaZi chart show that the France's team was heading for some serious battle internally and externally. What better place to play out the external battle than the World Cup 2010. While the World Cup started off poorly for France with a flat performance against Uruguay which earned them a draw, and a 2 nil shock defeat against Mexico, it was the internal battle and disharmony between the coach and the squad that kill the fighting spirit of the team.

At a first glance, there were already discord among his team and players because of the Hai Pig and Si Snake clashes in the Subordinate and the Team Palaces respectively. The discord may arise from the unhappiness of his management and coaching style as well as his incoherent strategy.

While all is this said, the problem cannot rest solely on Domenech as the football game is a game of as team spirit as well as team work.
