I am really surprise to receive his email. Hahaha… J

You must be wondering… Wow! Ricki Martin…

Nope! Not him. Actually, I received an email from a guy who asked me do a case study on Ricki Martin. He said that he is a very success businessman. It seems that he had gone to a lot of Bazi consultants to have his Bazi analyse. According to him, all of those consultants get his Bazi reading wrong.

Hmm… this doesn't sound good to me. I really sympathise him on all the trouble and headache he got from the wrong advices but I have this funny feeling that he is hard to deal with. My first impression of him is that he is the type of person who is always right and everybody is wrong. It doesn't rub on too well with me. I think mostly it is because I also want to be right most of the times. Okay! Okay! Yeah, I want to be right all the time. Anyway, he may not be that kind of person. Maybe is my imagination running wild.

Sigh… must reflect on my own weakness more. This attitude of wanting to be right all the time mostly stamp from the influence of the Hurting Officer and Rob Wealth Stars. :) Yeah, I have both. Sigh… I shall be more open-minded. I promise! Cross my heart!

At least I will have an interesting debater, I thought to myself. Okay! Okay! It is more like an argument, not a debate and I like to argue. :P Hurray! I have someone to argue with. However, after a few emails…he went on a silent mode. :(

Maybe, it is the best for everyone.

So here is Ricki Martin's Bazi. He is born on 24 December 1971 at 01:30.

He has almost a Super Vibrant Water Structure Bazi. Almost! But not! This is because the present of the earth element of Chou Ox 丑 and Wei Goat 未. You may argue that the Chou~Wei is very weak and is clashing with each other but then the earth element is still there so this is considered a fake Super Vibrant Structure.

If he has a Super Vibrant Structure, he will not have his break in the Luck Pillar of 15, Wu Xu 戊戌. A Super Vibrant Structure does not like to see the controlling element.

Hence, we will read as a normal chart. Since Ricki has a prosperous Day Master, his favorable elements are earth, fire and wood.

During the period of Wu Xu, Ricky rose to fame as a member of the Latin American boy band Menudo. He went solo in 1990-91, the year of Geng Wu 庚午 and Xin Wei 辛未. My Friend’s Son

Recently a friend of mine sends his son's date of birth to me for case study as well as to post on my blog. I met him at the Bazi class in Singapore few years ago. Here is his son's Bazi Chart. He has jokingly says, "I'm not sure should I mould my newly born baby boy to be a future president… haha..." J

I guess like many parents, he is also concerned of his son well being as well as his future. As I was penning down the words here, a book keeps flashing to my mind. The book is named Outlier, written by Malcolm Gladwell. I came across it in Joey Yap's fan page in facebook. He has says that the content in the book greatly reflect the Trinity Luck of Heaven, Earth and Man. Half way through the book, I could see why he says that and I couldn't have agreed more.

Another book that comes to minds is an Investment Book with the title "A Gift to My Children: A Father's Lessons for Life and Investing" written by Jim Rogers. It is not as interesting a book as Outlier, but it has its on merits and is also an outlier of sort on its own. You see Jim Rogers has traveled all over the world and looked at each country with his investment experience and vision and he has decided to settle in Singapore. He has says "If you were smart in 1807 you moved to London, if you were smart in 1907 you moved to New York City, and if you are smart in 2007 you move to Asia." Roger's daughter is being tutored in Mandarin. This is to prepare her to take advantage of the Asia especially China's economic boom. Although he says that he will not force his daughter to walk the path he has taken so far and he very much encourage his daughter to pursuing her dream and passion, nevertheless it is better to be where the action or opportunities lie. In this sense, he has created an outlier for her daughter. The Heaven Luck is the Asia and China economic boom which is slowly taking over the West. The Earth Luck refers to Singapore, a business hub where English and Mandarin is widely spoken, with economic and political stability as well as a place with high standard of education system. Lastly, his daughter action is where the Man Luck takes place to form the Trinity Luck of Heaven, Earth and Man.

As a parent then wouldn't it be better to create the outlier through education, exposure and nurturing for our children rather than dictate what they should do? I did not have any children nor am I married yet. Therefore, this question is better left to those who have the experience to give the answer.

Bazi can give you some clues or guidance in what areas as a parent can help your children along. It can let you know what role you should play as a parent. Should you give a full 100% hand-on to your child development or it is better to leave it to your partner to do it?

We can take a look at my friend's son who is born on 6 September 2009 at 9.53 a.m. as an example where we can guide a child.

Yes, his son definitely has the Seven Killing Structure and it is form by the Geng 庚 Metal. Of all the 10 stems, the Geng is the most powerful Seven Killing Structure to have. Given his self is rooted in the Yin Tiger, a pure Qi penetrate from Earthly Branch to Heavenly Stem which means although born out of season his Day Master is not weak and very usable. He has just one Seven Killing Star on the Month Branch which makes it just nice. Too much of it you get a power craze personality. To my friend about molding your son to be the future president… I don't think you got the chance and neither is your wife capable of doing it. You have a handful of dealing with this one.

Since the two most important elements in the natal chart are the Day Master and the Month Branch (which form the chart structure), we will concentrate on these two elements in the character analysis.

His son Day Master is the Jia 甲 Wood sitting on Yin 寅 Tiger. By this you will know that he is very single minded boy and will not stop at anything to achieve his goal or get the thing he want. This can be border to being stubborn. Couple with the Geng Metal you get a very tough kid to deal with. The Geng Metal need to be forged so that it becomes useful. That means he needs to go through some hardship in life first to be able to see his Seven Killings Star to shine like a sharp and powerful sword. Hence, as a father, you should not be pampering your son too much. There is this Indirect Resource of Ren 壬 Water beside him, indicates that he has a lot of unconventional ideas. You may feel that his ideas are rebellious to what the norm of the society deems as proper or correct things to do. However, a lot of genius ideas are seen as weird to downright nonsense but with time it has proven otherwise. So be patient with him. What you view as nonsense may not be so.

While all is said, how would you give proper influence to such a tough and stubborn kid? You need to do lot of reasoning with this type of kids followed by a disciplinary action. He must know where he went wrong and because of it he is being punished. With the Eating God, you might get you view or message through.

Sending this type of children to boot camp also helps too. It trains them to be independent and exposes them to other children. It will helps him in his interpersonal skill with others. With the destruction formation of Si 巳 Snake ~ Yin Tiger, and a clash with the Shen 申 Monkey whereby indicates the affected palaces are related to his peers, subordinates, colleagues and superior, hence we know that he has weakness dealing with this people around him. Having a forthright personality also didn't help much although it can be view as a virtue. Hence, he needs to polish up his interpersonal skills. Also being away from home will mitigate the clash problem with the parent palace (Shen Monkey on the Month Branch).

At the age of 10 he is going into the Xin Wei 辛未 Luck Pillar. The Direct Officer appearing on the stem and a clash with the Chou 丑 Ox~Wei 未 Goat, indicates the possibilities of trouble at school that annoys the teacher and father as well. Again, let me remind you to be patient and have a good talk with your son. Mete out a disciplinary action where necessary but only after you have word with him.

Going into the Luck Pillar of 20, Geng Wu 庚午, is where his break come. The three most important elements in the chart are Geng, Jia and Ding, has come together. These elements always work together to give rise to a great leader.

09.09.09 a.k.a 9 September 2009

I still remember last year the date 08.08.08, has made a buzz. The number eight is a symbolic of wealth. It has the sound of wealth to it in Chinese. The official in China had chosen the Opening Ceremony for Olympic on this very day in China. However, according to date selection it was only an average day.

Today is another special day to Chinese because of the date 09.09.09. It is very significant day to Chinese because the number NINE which sound like "forever lasting". It bears the meaning for longevity.

Therefore, a lot of activities will take place today especially Wedding Ceremonies. It just wouldn't do without having a well organise group marriages for the Chinese from cupid service industry, I guess. They sure can never miss out a chance to be profitable. On top of that, you see a sudden mad rush of people to the Registrar of Marriage to have their vow taken and have their love seal forever in eternality in this very faithful day. Okay, maybe I have exaggerated a bit, eternality is too long. It can only apply to the Vampires in the movie. :P

OKay, back to 09.09.09.

It has a very strong Metal Structure due to the Three Harmony Combination of Chou~You~Si. Like any other day, today I need to work. Maybe even work harder with the formation of Metal from Chou~You~Si. My colleague decided to take today off. *sigh* Maybe she wants to add to the crowd but then she already married.

On the most basic term of date selection, if you are born in the day of Ren Shen then I would says it have some significant to you because your Day Pillar combines from Earth to Heaven with Day Pillar of Ding Si. In the 12 Officers Date Selection methods, it records today as Success Day. Therefore, for those born on the Ren Shen day, it might be a good day for marriage after all provided that there aren't any clashes to your Year Pillar. For those who have the Ren Shen on the Year Pillar, it will be good too to start or undertake any long-term project.

Dong Gong Date Selection method does not place much importance on today.

However, I have drop the fad long time ago and since adopted a more realistic and practical approach about things. It is easy to categorize each business or industry into each element. Hence, we use to advise people to work in the industry that has their favourable elements or the Useful God element.

However, with so many jobs created in this century it may be difficult for a person to work in a particular industry without first giving some consideration to the type of field or role that he or she play in that industry. For example a Water person with the favourable element in wood may work in a publishing company according to industry categories. However, it is difficult for this particular person to sit still because of the water element nature. Marrying A Rich Husband, Anyone!

Recently my friend, Jessie, has posted an article titled, "What should I do to marry a rich guy?". You guys just have to read the answer, it is really hilarious.

However with today influence from romance movies and luv dramas especially from Taiwan and Korea, it is not surprising that many young girls would dream of marrying a rich handsome young man and live happily ever after. Welcome, to the fantasy world for those who love fairy tales.

In Bazi wise do you have what it takes to be able to marry into a rich family? Are you born with the kind of Bazi that you will eventually end up with a guy that has deep pocket?

Traditionally, there are few criteria to look in the Bazi of the lady with grace. Or you can say the gal who snatches a rich husband. Firstly the self (Day Master) of lady in question must be strong but not until it become domineering. Secondly, her Output Star must be of the Eating God Star because the other Output Star, Hurting Officer, will hurt the Spouse Star. Her Spouse Star must also be strong, of good quality and must not be clash, harm or touch in any way in Bazi wise. It should be the Direct officer Star and not the Seven Killings. Preferably, herself element is the yin polarity and the Spouse Star sits on the Spouse Palace. This would be perfect. Hence, her husband will need and love her. Lastly, the Resource Star must also be present because it represents helper or nobleman. It also represents your comfort in life. Hence, with it you basically would not have to work much. This conforms to traditional thinking of what a lady with grace's Bazi should be.

In today reality, the theory above is very much debatable. Take for instance the Eating God and the Hurting Officer Stars. The Eating God Star's natures are of good temperamental, will not be too showy and a bit shy. This is what the olden day's society wants in a wife. They were to stay at home, keep the home organize and take care of children, elder the in-laws. However, today the demand of a wife is much higher. You actually needed both the Eating God and Hurting Officer.

Basically, wealthy men are usually businessmen, entrepreneurs, go-getters who love the thrill of the hunt. They are tops in their field. They are often active, aggressive and competitive in their personal lives as well as their business lives. They are hard working. At the same time they play harder too. They expect the best because they give their best. And that is exactly what you will have to be to get a rich man to marry you: The BEST. Grace Kelly is one of the good examples of grace and beauty. With beauty alone, she could have landed anyone. However, it was the ability to set people at ease, to manage events, to network on behalf of their husbands that made them valuable marriage material. If you want a wealthy husband, you have to be comfortable both in the spotlight (that is Hurting Officer) and on the sidelines (Eating God). There will be times when you will be thrust into the background while your husband is working through a deal or weathering a publicity storm. Still want to marry a rich husband? Well, I do wish you the best of luck if you say yes. However, I very much agree to the reply sign off by JP Morgan that it is easier to earn your own wealth than married into one. If by any chance you are already married to a rich husband and you do not in any way resemble a beautiful immaculate personal assistant, I guess you just have to employ one big fat good old-fashion nanny type of personal assistant for your husband. "Ugly Betty" is good! It will save you a lot of headache from the gold digger out there. J
