Ding Hai (Novemerber 2010)

Just had my lunch with some good friends from a far and BaZi enthusiast. The method of imagery BaZi was being discussed. Imagery or pictorial of the Jia Zi Pillar is very subjective to each person imagination and interpretation.

This month is Ding Hai. I posted two images which I think represents a nice Ding Hai Pillar.

E=mc2

Yes, he was Albert Einstein, the genius scientist of our time. Research done by scientist had found that Albert Einstein only uses 5% of his brain. Amazing right?! Imagine, how much brain power do ordinary people like us use?

Albert Einstein

Albert Einstein was born on 14 March 1879 at 11.30 a.m. What's indication in a BaZi chart, can show a genius and extraordinary scientist? In my assumption, there were few criteria to qualify for a genius scientist:
  1. Out of the Ten Gods, I would think the Resource Stars, i.e. Direct and/or Indirect Resource Stars should be prominent.
  2. Where science was involved, Fire element must also be present.
  3. I would also consider the Auxiliary Star – Intelligent Star – should be found in the BaZi Chart.
Let look at the BaZi Chart below to see if his chart met the criteria.

Albert Einstein's BaZi Chart

Being born in spring, Albert Einstein, had the Direct Resource Structure, which was further enhanced by another Mao Rabbit found in the Year Branch. Do you still remember another famous scientist and entrepreneur belongs to Direct Resource Structure as well? He was no other than Thomas Edison.

The Ding Fire represents science as well as scientific invention. In Albert's BaZi Chart, the Ding Fire was just standing beside his Day Master and rooted in the Wu Horse. It was liked a partner to Albert Einstein. This not only indicates the scientific field he was in, but he was also well-respected, influential, and had many admirers which he garnered throughout his career as theoretical physicist, philosopher and author. No one could outshine him in his field. Do you know why?

Lastly, was the Intelligent Star, did he had one? Below is the table to determine the Intelligent Star for each type of Day Master.

Table: Intelligent Star

Albert Einstein's eudaimonia was being a scientist. If he had done otherwise, well, maybe I could do better in my mathematics and sciences. LOL! Anyway, if you know where your eudaimon lie or the purpose of your life, no matter what your situation may be, be it up or down, you will always fall back to equilibrium, that is, you find yourself back to doing well and living well with desirable life of happiness, pleasure, wealth and honour.

Oops! Where the whole world waited! Sera Monastery...

Just got home from my Tibet trip on the 2nd legged of the China Excursion. No, not going to blog about the Tibet fengshui here. Sorry to disappoint you guys but I am sure you can find other site that have much more information on it.

My little adventurous and recklessness had got the group waited for me for about half an hour or more. Of course, I felt bad but then I know I would be late. Still, I was off to the unbeaten path while the excursion groupee when on to their spiritual tour around the Sera Monastery after sifu Joey explained the fengshui of the surrounding. Not much of a clear view can be seen from the monastery because of the building structure. Sifu suggested we can climb the wall to get to the higher ground for better view or join our tour guide on a spiritual tour of the monastery. After a short tour, I decided to break off from the group and headed on to my little adventure. I have always believed that god is always with me in my heart and need not necessary visit so many god's places to give extra Uhm! to my spirituality… (Of course, if my grandmother was a life she would had say I was just being lazy.) After all, if I remember correctly everyone can be a little Buddha on their own. After few detailed prayers on the 1st day, my mind began to wonder. Wouldn't the prayer below be sufficient?

I pray for World Peace!
Or
I pray for Love All Around!
Or
I pray for Bountiful Food for Everyone!
Or
I pray for Ageless Wisdom!

I don't mean disrespect to others' believed though but I can't stop my mind from wondering. :P

My little adventure? Climbing the wall? Of course, NOT! Are you nuts?! I just decided to walk (maybe run a bit on my way back) and asked the locals. It made more sense than scaling the wall.

Off the unbeaten path

The Wall

A 15 minutes walked up to the hill at an almost deserted lane. I think I reached around some hermitage behind of Sera Monastery. The scenery was breath taking. A quick checked with a local passerby said it was going to take about two hours walk from where I was and some rock climbing to do to reach Sera Utsé Hermitage, the peak of Sera. I took some quick photos and quickly made my way back.

Well, everyone was gone by the time I reached the spot where we were supposed to wait. Okay, what to do?
Panic!!!
