The Four Cardinals

The Four Cardinals refers to the Earthly Branches of Zi Rat, Mao Rabbit, Wu Horse and You Rooster. Each of this Earthly Branches is reside at the peak of the seasons.

The Seasons

When spring comes, Mao is at its peak and prosperous with the pure Qi of Yi Wood. Then summer, Wu Horse is at it prosperous with Ding Fire Qi plus a minor Qi of Ji Earth. This is because the fire element produces earth and hence, all the fire branches will carries a secondary element of earth. During autumn, the You Rooster is at it prosperous with a pure Qi of Xin Metal. Lastly in winter, Zi Rat is at its peak and prosperous with the pure Qi of Gui Water. Hence you have the Four Cardinals which is called "Di Wang" in the stage of life.

Okay! It sounds like textbook, I know. But I just want explain a bit in details of the position of Four Cardinals in each of the season. You know, they are on top of the world. And literary, it applies to the people who Day Master sits on this earthly being…

So what's "Di Wang" means? How does it reflect on a person character? In addition, the Four Cardinals are also the four Peach Blossom Stars.

By just looking at the Four Cardinals (while all other element remain constant), people who have either one of the Cardinals indicates that they have a likeable and attractive personality. People somehow gravitate to them by their appearance or charming disposition. They are also innocent and trusting at times. However on the flip side, they can be egoistic and have an aggressive personality. This is when the Day Master is sitting at "Di Wang". They can come across as passionate and full of vitality.

However when one who have too many of the Four Cardinals a.k.a the Peach Blossom Stars in his or her Bazi Natal Chart it definitely means trouble in relationship. Cases like third party, infidelity, stalker or stuck in abusive relationship that they seems to unable to get out of are some of the possibilities of too much of this Star. Why is this so? If you look the Four Cardinals, you will notice that each of the Earthly Branches has a problematic relationship to other. Look at the table below.

Four Cardinals-Relationship

Hence, it is ideal to have only one Cardinal Earthly Branches or one Peach Blossom Star in your Bazi Natal Chart. Sometimes too much of a good things just spoil everything.

Besides the above relationship, where the Four Cardinals reside in your Bazi Chart and also which Ten Gods it represents have an important influence and effect too.

For example: A Mao Rabbit on your Hour Pillar indicates people will instantly gravitate to you but the effect is not long lasting. The person also have tendency to involve in a fling or one night stand kind of relationship especially when the element is negative. On a brighter note it indicates that this person is in good term with the people he or she works with because the Hour Pillar also represents your Colleague and Subordinate Palace. This is especially so if the Mao Rabbit is also either one of this Ten Gods: the Friend, Rob Wealth, Eating God or Hurting Officer Star.

Quick! Look at your Bazi Chart, see if you have any of the Earthly Branches I mentioned and good luck with you discovery. J

Rich Dad Poor Dad by Robert T. Kiyosaki

It has been quite awhile that I post a write-up on my blog. A special reader, who has since become a friend, has reminds me that every time I lapse on posting an article. I apologize for the delay due to a sudden influx of customer asking for Bazi consultation.

I promised him to post something soon. Although I have a few subjects to write about, I have posted his request first. This article is not to track events that happened in Robert life. It is more about the potential that is in his Bazi Chart.

Robert T. Kiyosaki is born on 8 April 1947. I do not have his time of birth but for the analysis today, I think information available will suffice.

Robert Kiyosaki's Bazi Chart

Robert is born on spring under the Structure of Hurting Officer. Hence, for the basic Bazi studies we know that his Day Master (DM), Ding Fire is strong. Furthermore, his DM is sitting on Jian Lu, the Si Snake, which is a Thriving Star. Hence, he favours the elements of water, earth and metal.

It is a known fact before Robert become famous, he actually a successful salesman, selling copy machines for the Xerox Corporation. If you have read my article on the Ten Gods in relation to career, then you would know that salesman is actually using a Hurting Officer (HO) Star. In the Robert's Bazi the HO is represented by Wu Earth which can be found in the Chen Dragon.

If you were to look at Robert's Luck Pillar, he actually stepped in to his favourable luck cycle from the age 21 onwards. So why is he not famous earlier? He is only well-known when he published the book Rich Dad Poor Dad in 2004. Publishing and becoming an author which fall under the wood industry is not even his favourable element. Here I want to dispelled some of the myths surrounded the unfavourable element and clashes.

Unfavourable Element

Myth: There is always assumption that unfavourable elements in your natal will bring bad luck. It is better to disassociate with this unlucky element so that you will be better off in term of luck. Robert in his earlier day has uses his favourable element to achieve success that is Wu Earth, his HO but it can even compare to the achievement now.

Fact: This so called unfavourable element is just another element in your chart. Using this element doesn't mean you are doom forever to be bad luck. It only means that you may face some challenges while you use this element. In fact every element in your Natal Chart has it pro and cons. The negative element just shows more of it negative sight. You can always consciously improve the positive sight of your unfavourable element.

For example: In Robert T. Kiyosaki case becoming an author has brings him tremendous success and fame. Publishing and writing a book is a wood industry. It is his Direct Resource Star which is not favourable to him. Another element, the fire is Rob Wealth Star (RW) to Robert. It is also not in his favourable element but this RW is a star of fame. If you want to be famous, to be well-known around the world, you need this Star in your natal chart.Robert Kiyosaki
Robert has used the Ding Fire element well. Ding Fire is the light of a candle. It shines and shows people the way in the dark. Robert's book is all about showing people the way to achieve financial freedom. His books have inspires many to believe that everyone can do it. This is what Ding Fire is all about.

Of course, there are challenges. RW always brings about jealousy and acute competition. There are many critic on Robert' books and teaching for containing little concrete advice on how readers should proceed. They are also those who believe that Rich Dad is fictional and Robert created him as an author surrogate (a literary device).

Clashes

Myth: Clashes mean that there is a sudden and shocking event into a person life. It is always assumption that some kind of freak accident will happen to that person who has a clash in his Bazi.

Fact: Clashes do not necessary just associates with accident. If you are migrating to another country, your Bazi may probably show a clash too.

For example: In Robert's Luck Pillar of 51 (Age 51 to 60), there is a clash relationship between the Xu Dog and Chen Dragon. This clash released out the Ding Fire element. As I mentioned earlier, the Fire element is his Friend and RW stars which bring about fame. Hence, there is a possibility of a break through that will bring about fame in Robert life. In 2000, Geng Chen year, the book titled, "Rich Dad Poor Dad", shoots Robert into stardom in the literacy world. Remember the Ding Fire, Jia Wood and Geng Metal always work together. The Geng is found in the Geng Chen in the Annual Pillar of 2000.

Time

Myth: It is always believe that during your lucky cycle, whatever you plan to do or project you plan to launch will shoot into instant success. You may have the capability and foresight during this period to execute certain projects or ideas. It is also an added plus point because whatever you plan to do seems to go smoother but it does not guarantee 100% success. In fact, it just takes only one year of bad luck or unfavourable cycle in that 10-year of your good Luck Pillar to killed your project or idea if you do not have enough experience or good planning.

Fact: You need to work and toil on your project, talent and idea whether in the bad time or good time so you become good, an expert, in that field. When the window of opportunity opens, you are there to receive it.

For example: Robert started writing much, much earlier than in the year 2004. His first book titled "If You Want to be Rich & Happy Don't go to School?" was published in 1992. The book does not really do well. If he does not persist on and keep on writing, the book "Rich Dad Poor Dad" will not published and he would not be famous. In fact, he actually self-published the book "Rich Dad Poor Dad" in 1997 when all the publishing company see it as another financial investment book that does not seems to be profitable. In the year 2000, after the commercial picked the book for publishing, it is on the New York Best Seller List for 6 years till 2007.

You may born with a potential good chart, but if you do not put on your weight to improve your in born ability even a lousy person chart will do much better than you. In this world there is no lucky period where you do not need to work or contribute little and get instant success with everything you wish fall from the sky to you. You receive in return what you have given.
